Manifesto

Written 21 July 2026

I am for a living internet. For a web with life in it. The deliberate opposite of the dead internet.

Life is fullness. Behind a text written by a person, you can feel life, not emptiness. To define fullness clearly and give the machine a manual for producing it would be against fullness and against the truth. The fact that the machine does not understand it only confirms it.

Fullness is too varied to become training data. The machine can read only what is written, not what lies between the lines. How would it turn a thousand original minds, states of mind and experiences into a definition of how to write with fullness? So fullness always digs itself deeper beneath the dead dark forest, and grows ever less readable to the machine.

I do not know who will win. Not everyone needs fullness. For some, a quick reward is enough, dopamine, plenty of stimulation. I force nothing on anyone.

I search. I walk through the dead dark forest and try to look for signs of life, and to bring them too.

It gives me meaning.

Because if the internet is to mean something to people, beyond the robotic things like moving data and handling payments, there must be life in it.
