And something strange happened.

Me, Richard Golian, March 12, 2026 when I set up a local AI model for the first time.

It reminded me of when I was about 12 years old and discovered that websites are something you can build with code. HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL. I remember entire summer holidays disappearing while I experimented with it. Entire days passed without me even noticing.

I have not felt that kind of flow in a very long time.

Now it is happening again.

Hours disappear while I install things, test things, break things and try again. Time moves strangely when you are completely absorbed in something.

Summary

I installed a local AI model and something unexpected happened. The same feeling I had at twelve, when I first built a website — complete absorption, hours disappearing without notice. We are at the very beginning of something that will reshape how we work, create, and think. This is what it felt like to touch it for the first time.
